Georgia Saxophone Retreat - May 31 - June 6, 2020

Sunday, May 31, 2020
2:00-5:00pm - Camper Registration and Check-In
6:00pm - Dinner in Unicoi Lodge (parents and families welcome welcome to join! Dinner buffet available for $18.95 per person)
7:00pm - Opening Remarks and Faculty Concert (again, parents and families welcome!)
8:00pm - Placement Auditions - a chance for GSR Faculty to hear students individually and place them in appropriate chamber groups
10:00pm - Lights Out

Monday, June 1, 2020
8:00am - Wake-up call and breakfast
9:00am - Intro to Saxophone Ensemble
10:45am - Masterclass (topic TBD)
12:00pm - Lunch
1:00pm - Intro to Chamber Music - students will be assigned to saxophone quartets, or other small groups
2:00pm - Recreational/Practice Time
3:30pm - Saxophone Ensemble Rehearsal
6:00pm - Dinner
7:30pm - Group Lesson - students will be assigned to groups based on age and ability
8:30pm - Evening Activities or Fireside Chat (w/ s'mores!)
10:00pm - Lights Out

8:00am - Wake-up call and breakfast
9:00am - Saxophone Ensemble Rehearsal
10:45am - Vandoren Presentation with Brandyn Taylor
12:00pm - Lunch
1:00pm - Chamber Music Rehearsal/Coaching
2:00pm - Recreational/Practice Time
3:30pm - Saxophone Ensemble Rehearsal
6:00pm - Dinner
7:30pm - Group Lesson - students will be assigned to groups based on age and ability
8:30pm - Evening Activities or Fireside Chat (w/ s'mores!)

2:00pm - Georgia Saxophone Retreat Final Concert! @ Unicoi Amphitheater (Parents and Families, please join us!)
Parent/guardian responsible for pick-up immediately following the final concert.
